Jack Frost was here

This image I took after there was a heavy frost on the ground.  The morning sun was coming up so I decided to go outside and set the camera on a paver stone that was sunk in the gound.  I was hoping to catch a little Jack Frost on the blades of grass.  I did not get down on my hands and knees to take the picture.  I did bend over and grunt while trying to take a peek at the display on the camera.  As I was grunting, I did get a few shots of the frost and I did not notice the droplet of water but thought somehow that the droplet of water was on my camera lens not on the blade of grass.  When I downloaded the images, I realized it was not on my lens but actually on a blade of grass.  It's the simplicity of the one single dew drop with the reflection of the grass in the droplet make it a grand photo for me!  I totally love it!  Click on the images to see the detail of both!

Dainty Daisy

Amazing how beauty is missed until it is cropped and zoomed in on.  Love the colors against the white!

Eats like a bird!

Eats like a bird typically means that "you're eating very little".... but wow, these birds were having a feast this morning when I took these shots.  While I was visiting a good friends house for a girls weekend....many of the girls that were there got to witness a CSD individual in action!  I'm sure they think I am a nut case. I ruined a sweatshirt when leaning over the kitchen countertop to take the photos.....I did not realize there was a bowl of tomato sauce with no lid on!  Shirt shmirt..... oh well!  Ya win some, you loose some. If anyone can help me out with the types of birds in the pictures, that would be awesome!

Early Morning Dew Lights

It was kind of foggy out this morning.  I pulled back the curtains to see if the bus was coming for the kids and wham, what a sight!  The tree out front was twinkling with morning dew water droplets!  It was like Christmas lights twinkling but instead with water droplets!  My jaw dropped and I had a feverish CSD moment.  Bus, camera, bus camera....bus is coming, where is the camera.....geez!  Here is the shots...

Beautiful Butterfly

On my bike ride through the State Park, I was amazed to see a Monarch butterfly in October!  He must of been a late bloomer or was lost?

Door County, Wisconsin

We took a lovely weekend trip to Door County.  Here are some highlights (for me treasures), of the fun bike ride through the Peninsula State Park trails.  Yes, my butt hurts but it sure was worth it....

Glorious are the woods in their latest gold and crimson.

Breakfast Time

My mother caught this bird having a feast from her front window.  I had to run and fetch the camera.  I got a few good shots from cracking the door open wide enough for the lens to peak out.  Luckily I did not scare it off.  Psssstttt, secret stealth  CSD camera manuver... nature is a pure blessing, I love it!

Bold and Beautiful

A quick trip to the farmer's market. These beauties were screaming at me to take their picture!

A duck's life...

I had a CSD moment as I saw the sunset from a distance.  Once I pulled up to the lake to take a good look, to my surprise there were lots of ducks sharing each others company and enjoying the sunset too!  I got a kick out of watching them while they were taking a dip in the water.   The reflection of the sun setting on the water was so beautiful!  Big smile, loved it!  :)

"L" is for Lots 'O Lily Pads!

I can't say if I ever remember seeing this many lily pads in one condensed area in my entire life.  Trust me, that is a long time.

I love how the sun is peaking through on a small section of the pond.  If only there had been a cute little froggy sitting on top...that would of been icing on the cake!

A WOW SUNRISE

This colorful, spectacular and dramatic sunrise brought forth a huge verbal WOW from my mouth!  There was a warm orange glow towards the horizon, which made the whole sunrise truly captivating

While sitting there by myself, I enjoyed the entire amazing sunrise show with a big smile and was wondering what other audience was taking it all in as well.  Was anyone one else seeing and enjoying this beauty with a smile on their face like me?

Beautiful Countryside of Stoughton, Wisconsin

I've come to realize that corn fields and sunsets go good together.  Unique clouds with that warm hazy glow. Here is a close up and far away view.

Grand Finale... Exceptionally Stunning

This particular evening had a spectacular early sunset show (*see blog insertion called "The opening act!")....so I had a gut feeling that the last few minutes of the sun going down was going to be a beauty.   I told my sister... "let's go catch the sun setting!"  Shoot me for wanting some cheap entertainment.  She kind of looked at me like I was nuts.  I said "let's go in the car and pull over on the side of the road to get a good view of it."  My guess is that she was thinking... how does she know there is going to be a sunset worth the energy to go and view?  It's been years since I used this phrase, and especially not on my sister....but basically I said "let's go parking!"  She again gave me a look of concern or perhaps an "uninterested" look.  I threw in the bait...."I'll even turn on the heated seats for you!"  I know she likes the heated seats in the car and says they are therapeutic for her ....so, I knew I had her undivided attention!  With the mention of the heated seats, her eyes got bigger and she finally gave into my bartering as she could see me squirming to hit the road.  She replied with a sounding "okay, let's go!"     *Sigh*  It takes bribes to console a CSD individual.

We told the kids, we will be back in 20 minutes or less.  So we rushed out the door to capture every minute of our 20 minute escape.....and I was right, the sunset was over the top beautiful!  We drove about a mile down the road and found a perfect spot in a quiet little subdivision.   To think we would of miss this had we just sat in front of the television!  That would of been a crying shame....

The first step to getting the things you want out of life is this…"decide what you want".
